Allergy relief for Dogs (for environmental/inhalant allergies) We at Kenabriz have developed an herbal mixture that our allergy dogs have been on since September 2005. It doesn’t cure the allergies (according to the US Food and Drug Administration: There is no cure for allergies. They are a lifelong problem), but brings the itching down to a tolerable level. The dogs do scratch occasionally but this is not constant or painful anymore. The dogs are happy, more playful and are chewing their toys instead of their skin. The frequency of ear infections has lessened considerably and the intolerable body odor is gone. And our incredible remedy is made with all natural herbs that you could eat too. The only side effects seen with this remedy is happier, more comfortable dogs and owners. Clinical Description of Atopical Dermatitis: Inhalant/environmental allergies show in people as itchy, water eyes, sneezing, sinus problems and drainage, stuffy nose and a variety of other symptoms. These allergies in dogs show up mostly as skin problems: itchy, dry, flaky skin, with body odor, smelly ears and sometimes, watery eyes. The normal veterinary treatment for inhalant/environmental allergies in dogs is first antihistimines to see if that will work. If not, then steroid injections or prednisone or some combination of these. Steroids (see News link on left about steroid use) are known in the veterinary field as being the best anti-inflammatory treatments for allergic reactions. But how many owners have said about the steroid injections: "it worked great, but only for a couple of weeks" or "I don’t think they gave enough because it only lasted a few days". Then they put the dog on prednisone to keep the itching under control between injections. The immediately noticeable side effects of steroid injections and prednisone on dogs are: excessive drinking and urination, frequently urinating at night in their sleep or even just when lying down; excessive hunger which results in rapid and undesirable weight gain. Some infrequent long-term side effects, seen by some owners, are adverse behavioral changes.
(Notes: This allergy remedy does not work on flea allergies. Before trying environmental/inhalant allergy relief, make sure the pet, house and yard have been treated for fleas. It has not been tested for food allergies. For use with dogs only; it has not been tested for cats or other animals. Expect your dog to drink and urinate a bit more than before taking the supplement; that’s normal with taking these herbs.) |
